Epic Certified Application Coordinator

PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION:
Application Coordinator - Security will be responsible for security configuration and maintenance of Application Suite.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*
1. Responsible for investigating, analysing, designing, prototyping, implementing and as applicable, testing and communicating proposed and approved system and workflow changes
a. Authors and reviews technical documentation incorporating strong working knowledge of system capabilities and limitations
b. Understands system data structures and supports business' analytical needs as applicable
c. Researches issues fully to determine definitive root cause(s)
d. Extracts system data files to support data analyses
e. Provides level-of-effort estimates to application leads and managers as requested
f. Maintains current understanding of status of assigned work activities and communicates to application leads and managers as requested
g. Completes assigned work activities according to agreed-upon schedules; communicates anticipated delays to application leads and managers
h. Focuses work activities on priorities as communicated by application leads
i. Understands business ramifications of solutions proposed and communicates those ramifications to applicable business leaders
j. Proposes solutions leveraging all available, supportable system functionality
k. Conducts assigned work activities in accordance with defined, approved processes
l. Conducts analysis in a complete and thorough manner
m. Researches and resolves production support issues
n. Requests vendor support when appropriate; escalates vendor support concerns to application leads and managers
2. Responsible for conducting assigned work activities in a coordinated manner among affected and potentially affected groups
a. Understands relevance of configuration activities to other groups
b. Communicates proposed changes to affected groups; addresses concerns raised, modifies designs to address concerns as appropriate, communicates design changes appropriately
c. Evaluates changes proposed by other groups on assigned application; works with other groups to identify issues and develop collaborative ways to address them. Represents business interests when evaluating changes proposed by other groups.
d. Understands broad spectrum of potentially impacted other groups and incorporates that understanding when communicating planned changes.
e. Ensures timing of communications with other groups allows ample time for evaluating changes and preparing additional work products, if needed (eg testing, training)
f. Ensures production support activities assigned to team are effectively integrated with other applicable groups; ensures problem ticket reassignment performed by team conducted in an appropriate manner
g. Ensures processes employed to resolve production support issues are commensurate with issue severity and business impact
h. Escalates instances of lack of engagement or effective support from other groups to department management
3. Responsible for performing assigned work activities in a manner aligned with customer's business goals and objectives
a. Understands customer requirements thoroughly and in detail
b. Incorporates customer requirements into assigned work activities
c. Interacts with business customers with courtesy and professionalism
d. Communicates proposed configuration and workflow changes clearly and effectively
e. Responds to business customer requests in a timely manner

Required Experience:
Three year experience with implementing healthcare applications including designing, building, and/or testing along with configuration of EPIC Modules.
Certification of the EPIC application.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
1 Year experience in implementing Security in EPIC Modules.
The individual has gone through the EPIC Upgrade Lifecycle

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, and or Business
