The Claims and Remittance Application Coordination Specialist position will be supporting major claims initiatives in NCAL (ie Tapestry AP). Candidate should have a proven ability to work well with both technical and business resources. Candidate will play a critical role in gap analysis, development of innovative solutions, and ensuring system and workflow efficiencies. Candidate should have strong communication and analytical skills. Prior experience with EPIC claims and remittance functionality and/or knowledge of industry standard EDI transactions (837, 277, 835) is preferred 

Top 3 - 5 Daily responsibilities 

-Analysis: Performs analysis, design, and build tasks for new projects that are moderate to complex in scope 
-Build/Implementation: Designs and builds moderate to complex components and functionality in non Production and Production Environments. 
-Change Management: Submits items for Governance Approval. 
-Support: Troubleshoots complex issues related to application specific issues (which may include Front Office, Orders, Security, Clinical Documentation, or Back Office) that cannot be resolved by an Associate or Intermediate level staff. 
-Documents technically complex information with articulation and accuracy. 
-Release: Participates in upgrades and Release notes management and documentation. 
-Works with Vendor/EPIC on change requests and complex code introduction to the system and assesses impacts accordingly. 
-Production Support: Participates in Production Support including on call schedule and off hours support (24/7); troubleshoots issue and determines root causes. 
-Project Management: Responsible for planning, managing and organizing medium level scope project components or initiatives, typically pertaining to individual work assignments. 
-Communication and Documentation: Maintains and updates application configuration documentation. 
-Communicates with a broad variety of individuals on a variety of complex projects and issues which impact the area of management and expertise. 
-Security, SOX, Compliance, and Change Management: Follows established security, SOX and Compliance protocols and procedures. 
-Works with EPIC on Change requests and complex code introduction to the system and assesses impacts accordingly. 
-Provides periodic informal work guidance/direction to, and training of team members. 

Top 3 - 5 Required Skills 
-HealthCare Claims(Business and Technical) 
-Epic Tapestry and/or Resolute Billing certification and is actively using 
-Proven ability to successfully deliver in an extremely complex mulit regional, matrixed environment. 

Desired skills 
-Certification in Epic Tapestry A/P and/or Resolute Hospital/Professional Billing. 
-2 Years experience with EPIC or other EMR, COPE, Revenue Cycle content and/or industry claims experience. 
-Knowledge and/or direct experience in business/operational area supported by application(Claims). 
-MS Suite 
-Lotus Notes 
-Remedy or equivalent change management architecture 
-Test Director or equivalent testing architecture
