Environmental Support Engineer/Analyst Job

ENVIRONMENTAL SUPPORT ENGINEER/ANALYST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Wilmington, DE.

THE BIG PICTURE:

- The Retail & Direct Bank Environments Management Specialist is responsible for managing deployments, as well as maintenance and support of the Development & QA Environments. The primary purpose of these environments is to enable QA and Development teams the ability to deliver functional regression, user acceptance and performance testing prior to Production implementation.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Participate in significant projects such as the migration of Development & QA Environments to AWS.
- Optimize the availability, security, and performance management of crucial systems operations.
- Evaluate processes and procedures in order to create and manage support documentation, and comply with operationally defined governance and controls.
- Coordinate efforts and liaise with cross functional teams in order to track and prioritize activities for maximum operational efficiency.
- Provide ongoing support and serve as an escalation point for support teams.
- Support and maintain configuration management.
- Provide daily system/application administration.
- Monitor and proactively support QA system/application capacity planning and analysis.
- Research and evaluate alternatives in order to recommend the most efficient and cost effective solution that meets business requirements and IT standards.
- Provide direction and guidance to other Environments Management Specialists.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Education and/or Certifications:
- Four-year degree in related discipline.
- Continued training and study in Technology and Business Leadership.
- Technical training on UNIX, Windows platform design and support.
- Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in an IT role.
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a technical support role.
- Some background in software development preferred
- Proficient at creating support documentation.
- Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills.
