Environmental Regulation Analyst, Central Belt

ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATION ANALYST. UTILITIES. CONTRACT. 9 MONTHS+

We are seeking an Environmental Regulation Analyst to work with our leading Utilities client. The position is initially for 9 months, possibly extendable and can be based in Glasgow, Edinburgh or Dunfermline. The responsibilities of the role are wide and varied but will include:- - Data processing/manipulation
- Interpretation of environmental legislation and providing advice on how to achieve compliance
- Preparing briefing papers to assist in developing strategies to respond to environmental legislation, policies and codes of practice
- Preparing draft responses to consultation documents

Candidates must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; good data entry/analysis skills; good spreadsheet skills; an understanding of environmental regulations, ideally relating to waste and wastewate (UK, Scottish and European directives).

A keen interest in environmental and climate change issues would be highly beneficial.
