Environmental Quality Manager/Auditor (ISO14001)

An Environmental Quality Manager/Auditor is required for a 9 month + contract in Blantyre to work with a Leading Energy Service provider.

You will provide expert advice and guidance to all aspects and levels within the company and on matters relating to Licence and Environmental Compliance. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Company's Environmental Management System to ISO14001 standard. You will also review, audit and measure business activities across the Company to ensure compliance with the standard. Additionally, you will be responsible for the day-to-day Environmental and licence compliance workload and issues arising with-in the Company on behalf of the Environmental Planning Manager.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED...

- Expert knowledge in environmental management systems and the requirements of ISO14001
- Expert knowledge in the role of lead auditor
- Expert knowledge in perceived health effects associated with overhead lines
- Written and oral communication with external organisations including national government, local government, regulatory bodies, pressure groups, press and local politicians
- Working knowledge of the Transmission and Distribution Networks and the individual components such as substations and overhead lines and potential impacts on the environment.
- Working knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation.
- Commercial awareness, IT literacy, Customer service skills.
- Project management.
