Environmental Health & Safety Professional

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Complete a full gap analysis using the EHS Gap analysis tool.
- Work with consulting firm to complete the facility legal register.
- Take necessary actions to insure compliance with updated legal register.
- Work with outside IH consultants to complete necessary IH risk assessments.
- Conduct and document risk assessments for all functions and area at facility.
- Work with side leadership to mitigate deficiencies.
- Update facility EHS procedures as necessary.
- Provide training as necessary.
- Hand over a EHS functions as to a qualified employee as budgeted for 2016 (0.25 employee time requirement)

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 5 years leadership experience working as a EH&S Professional, preferably in a Biotech facility.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or Equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated solid computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Superior communication and writing skills.
- Demonstrated time management and organization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to quickly and effectively solve problems and negotiate solutions.
- Strong regulatory experience. Background in managing air permits (ideally Title V).
