Environmental Health and Safety Engineer

Yoh has a long term contract opportunity for an ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ENGINEER to join our client in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support in the efficiency of EH&S programs and procedures to ensure compliance with Eisai Policies and all Local, State and Federal Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations.
- Perform and coordinate EH&S Training, including classroom, computer-based, and through written SOPs.
- Provide EH&S review and support for onsite contractor work activities and projects.
- Perform risk assessments and hazard reviews within production and lab based environments.
- Participate on the site Safety Committee and onsite Medical Emergency Response Team.
- Support with EH&S documentation management, such as Safety Data Sheets, Training Records, Permits to Work, and Occupational Medical information.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene or other related scientific or engineering discipline.
- Two to five (2 - 5) years of applicable EH&S experience within a manufacturing environment. Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is desirable.
