Environmental Engineer

Large company located in the Central Ohio area has an immediate need for an ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER with experience and knowledge of water and ecological resources permitting and regulations. Requires a BS Degree in Engineering or Environmental and a minimum of three (3) or more years experience with storm water and erosion control. Must be able to travel as needed in support of construction projects. Prefer local candidates to the Central Ohio area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Will provide on-site environmental permitting support for on-going transmission line construction projects.
- Will prepare Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) and permit applications
- Will review Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs)and (Notice of Intent) NOIs prepared by consultants
- Provide erosion and sediment control field support to Transmission Construction Representatives
- Provide verification of permanent stabilization and prepare storm water permit

REQUIREMENTS

- Requires a BS Engineering or BS Environmental Engineering
- Requires knowledge of NPDES storm water permit program
- Must have field knowledge of Erosion and Sediment Control practices
- Experience preparing Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans and permit applications
- Must have experience with determining additional state and county storm water permit requirements and preparing Corps of Engineers pre-construction notifications
- Must be able to provide input on water related permitting requirements and timelines to project team
- Must be willing to travel an estimated 10-20% of work hours.
