My client - a leading environmental consultancy are looking for an experienced Development Consultant like you to join their team. With a broad project portfolio including many recognisable clients, they are at the forefront of offering Environmental solutions to the Renewable Energy industry across theUK. The purpose of this role will be to manage the onshore EIA renewable energy projects as agreed with clients. You'll offer expert environmental advice to existing staff within the business on issues relating to each onshore project in the environmental team. You will also be responsible for business development to support not only the environmental team but the business as a whole. You'll be offered advice with target clients however you must show initiative and be able to provide a certain level of expertise in theUKrenewables sector. Day to day activities may also include the provision of feasibility studies as well as providing project development expertise. Given the nature of the job you will be expected to liaise confidently with management at all levels including senior directors. To be successful in this position you must have: - Thorough understanding of the UK Planning system (EIA) - Excellent knowledge of the consenting process (preferably in renewables) - Proven ability to project manage effectively - Demonstrate experience of delivering projects on time - Confidence presenting to other employees in the business - Excellent communications skills - this is fundamental to the role In return you will be offered a comprehensive remuneration package including competitive salary and private health care.
