Position: Environmental Control Systems Engineer (Senior)
Job type: Contract (12 Months Initially)
Skills: Matlab/Simulink, Flowmaster, Hazard Analysis and Fault tree, Environmental control systems
Location: Lancashire easily commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Blackburn and with excellent access from Manchester
Rate: £33.00 per hour Ltd

OUTSOURCE UK LTD is actively seeking to recruit a Environmental Control Systems Engineer for a contract role on behalf of a client.

THE CLIENT:
A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

THE JOB:
The purpose of the role is to act as an experience environmental control systems engineer in the future combat air systems team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
The successful Environmental Control Systems Engineer candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role.

Responsible for the following:
Production of system and equipment specifications, qualification and certification plans and test procedures.
Review of equipment supplier documentation, including identifying issues and making recommendations
Production of design requirements documentation and schematics to specify installation requirements to Airframe and Design Departments
Review installation drawings (mechanical and electrical), including identifying issues and making recommendations
Production of system performance calculations, analysis and models/simulations to predict performance and size systems
Production of safety analysis (Hazard Analysis and Fault tree)
Participate and present in design reviews
Support staff to produce plans, programmes and statements of work

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE
Proven experience in Environmental Control Systems within the Aerospace Industry
BSc/BEng (Hons) qualification or equivalent
Experience of several phases of the Product Lifecycle and design reviews
Ability to apply significant engineering judgement to solve problems
Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to management and peers
Experience in using software tools such as Flowmaster, Matlab/Simulink and Fault tree
