Environmental Consultant/Environmental Safety Case Engineer

Environmental consultant required for a world leading defence and aerospace company based out of Bristol. Candidate required to conduct environmental impact assessments on the companies aircraft and provide knowledge of environmental legislation.

Roles and responsibilities

* Conducting environmental impact assessments on Aircraft

* Keeping environmental management systems updated

* To provide Environmental Safety Services to external and internal clients. The primary output for this role will be delivery of projects to our clients.

* Providing expert knowledge in the environmental safety field

* Conducting Defence acquisition programme Environment Impact Assessments

Skills and competencies

* Ideally Degree qualified, or equivalent, with an environmental degree.

* Experience with Environmental Management Systems or MOD Project Oriented Environmental Systems

* Knowledge of Environmental Legislation and Environment Risk Assessment

* Experience with Environmental management systems- POEMS

* Knowledge of environmental standards documentation -Environmental Management Plans

* Experience of Safety case reports and Safety management plans

* Experience within the Aviation Sector

Desirable skills and competencies

* Experience on Fast Jets

* Ideally SC cleared

* Analytical and logical thinking skills

* Excellent judgement for reliability identifying and managing opportunities and risk

* Good questioning, listening and influencing skills
