Environmental Concept Artist Job

ENVIRONMENTAL CONCEPT ARTIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Redmond, WA.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Composing 3s, photographic and hand painted elements to achieve photo-real results.
- Working closely with Concept Art Director to maintain aesthetic continuity across the levels.
- Create concepts that not only show a general feel of a location, but also describe enough detail to inform an asset list.
- Create color palettes that capture the feel and mood of exterior locations, varying weather conditions and times of day.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Ability to create detailed and believable visuals based on real world settings.
- Solid understanding of the different surfaces one would expect to see in a detailed world and the ability to depict them accurately.
- Mastery of Photoshop, ability to combine CG and multiple photographic elements into a believable final.
- Excellent spatial awareness and understanding of vanishing points and perspectives.
- Ability to research and source existing imagery for compositing ideas quickly.
- Ability to organize files and adhere to file naming conventions when working as part of a team.
- Ability to visualize richly detailed real-world environments.
- Ability to work quickly from sketch to finish concept.

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- 3D experience is a plus.
- Passion for the craft and able to revisit work.
