Environmental Assessment Specialist - Edinburgh

We have a fantastic opportunity for an ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST for 2 MONTHS contract based in EDINBURGH.

The successful candidate will be expected to have an in-depth understanding of Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), Habitats Regulations Appraisals (HRA) and National Planning Framework.

Ideally the candidate will work full time hour but part time can be considered.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS - - Working knowledge of environmental legislation

- Environmental assessment skills and experience (SEA and HRA) (at least 5 years experience)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analysis and use of evidence: Environmental data collection and analysis, consultation analysis, policy analysis

DESIRABLE SKILLS - - Knowledge of the Scottish planning system.

- Post graduate qualification in environmental assessment or planning.

Candidate must hold a Basic Disclosure Scotland issues in the last 12 months or be happy to undergo this clearance.
