Environmental Analyst

POSITION DESCRIPTION
In this position, the candidate will conduct reviews of electric or natural gas construction plans for applicable environmental permits.

Will also prepare and/or review environmental permit applications, including but not limited to:

- Storm water plans
- Wetland applications
- Stream applications
- Visit proposed/actual construction project locations

The successful candidate must have reliable attendance. All information must be kept confidential.

SKILLS

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & EXPERIENCE

- Ability to conduct a review of electric and gas projects for applicable environmental permits
- Ability to review environmental permit applications for applicability and completeness
- Attendance at DEC 4 hour erosion subcontractors; utility personnel
- Strong computer skills
- Experience with DEC environmental regulations and permit process
- Wetland delineation experience a plus
- Preference for 4 year degree; 2 year degree acceptable - 5 years experience in environmental permitted in lieu of degree
- Either CPESC or PE credential a plus
- Minimum 1-2 years environmental permitting experience
- Familiar with DEC environmental regulations
- Environmental permitting process with agencies
- Utility experience
- Field work experience
- Wetland delineation a plus
- Experience with PSC Article VII permitting process a plus
- Experience in preparation of EAF is a plus
