Entry-Level Support Engineer/Logistics Technician

ENTRY-LEVEL SUPPORT ENGINEER/LOGISTICS TECHNICIAN HUDSON, MA ONGOING CONTRACT

For this position, with a world-renowned computer manufacturing company, you will be assisting with the distribution/delivery of computer hardware to various facilities. This will involve picking up/delivering equipment to regional offices, setting up systems, formatting/removing hard drives, basic diagnostic activities, and verifying warranty information.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

- Create Shipping Memos
- Pack items to be shipped (laptops, desktops, monitors, etc.)
- Bring shipments to the shipping dock
- Pick up surplus items from around the site using carts/pallet jacks
- Close Surplus Pickup Requests
- Deliver monitors, other peripherals to local customers
- Some heavy lifting as needed
- Other general work duties

GENERAL SKILL SUMMARY:

- 1-3 years desktop support/help desk experience
- Ability to run general diagnostics on the computer & diagnose software/hardware compatibility problems
- Ability to take apart computers and rebuild
- Install/uninstall/configure programs in Windows
- Performing software upgrades
- Putting build on system
- Provide support after new systems are rolled out (primarily software not much hardware)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to multitask with no loss of performance
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Office suites
- Ability to follow processes and procedures
- Ability to work regular hours, 8am 5pm shift Monday- Friday
- Must be able to pass 10 year criminal background check & drug screen
- Capable of lifting 50-70lbs
