Entry Level Java Programmer - Secret Clearance Job

ENTRY LEVEL JAVA DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Fairview Heights IL.

POSSESSION OF OR THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN A SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT. MUST BE CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE US FOR ANY EMPLOYER.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- At least four (4) years of web application programming experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- As the Java Programmer in Fairview Heights, Illinois, you will play a vital role in maintaining and developing program code to satisfy user's functional requirements. You work as part of the team to support a specific program, while involved in writing codes for that program.
- Work with customers to customize services to meet their specifications.
- Document project activities.
- Maintain Java software programs that require periodic revisions to code or update of technical documentation in response to changes in the activities being supported or execution faults.
- Develop, analyze, and refine systems requirements.
- Write and maintain program documentation.
- Update, debug, and test source code in response to problems that may occur during execution.
- Apply usability concepts, such as navigational aids, site architecture, knowledge management, and information rendering, to determine overall technical design and structure.
- Write detailed documentation for the operation of the program. Updates, repairs, and modifies existing software.
- Support user acceptance tests to ensure the program can be used easily, quickly, and accurately.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate technical field or any other equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- At least four (4) years of web application programming experience.
- An understanding of the Model-View-Controller framework.
- Must be an expert in Java & web application technologies.
- Experience with or understanding of Struts, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain.
- Experience with DataModeling.
- Experience with ErWin.
- Experience with SQL Developer or SQL+.
- Experience with JDeveloper or similar IDE.
