ENTERPRISE SUPPORT ANALYST REDMOND, WA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

KEY SKILLS: Networking, IIS, SQL, PowerShell.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Technical engineering: Support for the implementation, integration, and evolution of complex systems.
- Problem resolution: Timely resolution of critical production systems issues using technical and problem solving expertise.
- Analyze system trending: Provide systems statistical trending and analysis expertise including trending in system capacity and threshold testing and monitoring, performance characteristics.
- Evaluate systems and technology: Assess new systems designs and technical strategies.
- Automate and optimize the application deployment scripts, sequences, or tools for faster, error-free deployment.
- Problem Solving: Provide technical expertise for resolving critical production systems issues.
- Evaluate systems and technology: Assess new systems designs and technical strategies.
- Technical engineering support: Support the implementation, integration, and evolution of complex systems. Design and maintain monitoring support strategies.
- Position requires participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

CORE SKILLS FOR THE POSITION:

- Demonstrated understanding the technical concepts of at least two core technologies (SQL, IIS, SAN, Windows 2003/2008, IP Networks, etc.) plus the ability to quickly incorporate information about new technologies
- Strong fundamentals on TCP/IP concepts, load balancing, ACL, routing etc.
- Experience with development projects from the envisioning phase through release and support; ensure that solutions perform, scale, and are highly available with an eye on improving operational practices and procedures
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including technical documentation, a must
- Project Management skills a plus
- Passion for working in a rapid operational environment and able to multitask on several projects at once
- Must be able to review and deliver strong operational feedback to functional specifications

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

- 6+ years of professional work experience in managing large scale systems
- Strong System Engineering and Administrative skills with MS Server products required including and not limited to: Windows 2003/2008, SQL 2005/2008 and IIS
- 6+ years of meticulous production environment troubleshooting skills including code debugging skills
- Solid analytical problem solving and pattern recognition skills
- Demonstrated automation experience in live site application services
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, high availability solutions, etc.
- Strong knowledge of running and supporting Enterprise Scale Services and infrastructure with concentration in performance tuning, live-site management, business continuity concepts
- Working knowledge of Scripting languages, including PowerShell, VBS, C#, etc. a big plus
- Very good interpersonal skills, critical thinking, written and oral communication skills and strong technical documentation skills required
- Working knowledge of performance monitoring, remote administration, Client Server architecture, web application management, Internet technologies and network architecture
