Enterprise Systems Management Consultant - Tivoli, Omnibus, ITM

ABOUT THE COMPANY/POSITION:

We required a Technical Leader and Subject Matter Expert for a high profile program for a leading consultancy with the objective to implement and develop a new automation environment for a large financial institute. Using IBM Tivoli Netcool and IBM Tivoli Monitoring you will be providing end-to-end monitoring solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Configure Netcool/Omnibus probe rules file, Object Server trigger, Netcool/Impact policy, and ITM situation to set up monitoring infrastructure
- Create Perl and Shell script to do daily health check of the Windows, Solaris, AIX and Red hat Servers
- Script to improve performance of deployment and troubleshooting during project
- Create test plan, and develop test script.
- Support level 2/3 support on critical/urgent issues.
- Provide technical leadership and support to Clients and other teams
- Own and action requests for service, implementing changes and resolving assigned problems.
- Maintain detailed knowledge and currency of Tivoli systems
- Management product set functionality
- Comply with security, audit and systems integrity posture

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Extensive experience in configuration, support and deployment with any of the Systems Management products (Tivoli, ITM, TEC, Framework, Netcool, ITCAM, SCOM, BMC Patrol Enterprise Manager, CA Unicenter, HP Openview
- Strong Systems Experience (Intel Server, Linux, Unix)
- Experience in OSS related coding: Perl, Java, SQL, Bash script
- Strong Communication Skills and documentation
