Enterprise Risk Manager - Stress Testing Change Lead

Overview of Business Area/Project:

Stress testing is a critical component of the Company Group's strategic, risk, finance and capital management. Enterprise Risk Management is sponsoring and providing significant expertise in support of the Group Stress Testing Program. The Program has a number of change initiatives which will deliver enhanced stress testing capability. The overall program manager is based in London and there are teams located in the UK, New York, Zurich and Wroclaw. The Group Stress Testing Program is delivering change for regulatory and business stress testing requirements. The team will be responsible for the development of best practices for reverse stress testing, board reporting and the use of stress test results in business decision making. All areas will require close and collaborative working with Risk and Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

The role holder will be responsible for the delivery of changes to processes for group level stress testing. This will involve close working with experts in Risk and Finance to deliver appropriate approaches and processes which adhere to stress testing and documentation standards.

Primary responsibilities involve working closely with subject matter experts across reverse stress testing, board reporting and use of stress test results to:

Support the current reverse stress testing process deliverable in 2016
Document the current capability, including process, systems and roles and responsibilities
Define the target state requirements for stress test scheduling and the use of results
Conduct a gap analysis (people, processes, data attributes) between target and current state, including the identification of implementation requirements
Review and gain approval for the target, current states and gap analysis along with proposed roles and responsibilities with stakeholders
Work cross-functionally to agree and implement target processes to address the identified gaps

Required Skills/Experience:
In-depth knowledge of stress testing
Strong understanding of structured business analysis
Proven experience of developing and delivering expertise and change in either Risk or Finance
A proven track record of successfully identifying and documenting processes within a banking environment
Ability to review and edit requirements, specifications and business processes and provide recommendations related to a proposed business solution
A proven ability of timely issue identification, tracking, reporting and resolution.
Strong presentation skills
A proven ability to communicate with all levels of management in a clear, concise manner
Excellent verbal and written communication
Delivery focused
Attention to detail
Sufficient credibility to direct project teams and senior management in relation to the project
Solid facilitation skills
Effective relationship management and influencing skills
Time management skills
Fluent English language skills
Working experience of regulatory stress testing, or especially capital/financial planning, would be highly desirable
Solid strategic analysis, problem solving, issue resolution and decision making skills
Knowledge of Risk and Finance, including decision making around key metrics
University Degree
An Investment Bank and/or Asset Management and/or Consultancy background
