ENTERPRISE INTEGRATION LAB (EIL) ENGINEER needed for CONTRACT TO HIRE opportunity with Yoh's client located at Scott Air Force Base, O'Fallon, IL.

POSSESSION OF A SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT.

What You'll Be Doing:
- In the case of the Enterprise Integration Lab (EIL), the integrator is primarily testing software to include portals, portlets, and patches.
- In addition, testing is done on configuration changes to the environment and upgrades to the software and architecture.
- Monitoring performance and diagnosing problems in all aspects of the network infrastructure (Switches, Routers, bridges, hubs, modems, specialized Servers) so that acceptable levels of performance are maintained at all times.
- Engineering and implementation of network solutions to meet Authorized User-driven engineering requirements in a timely manner.
- Connecting equipment, running tests, configuring equipment, running acceptance tests, and developing procedures are typical duties.
- Updating documentation (drawings, tables, databases, broadcasts to Authorized Users/help desks, and text procedures) of the network in a fashion that is useful for peer and management review, installation work, diagnostic reference by technicians, capacity planning, analysing proposed network development/changes, inventory control, problem tracking, change management control, status reporting, and for disaster recovery archives.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Ability to generate effective command line scripts in the Linux OS
- Install applications and patches to Windows and Linux environments
- Troubleshoot networking and interconnection problems within a system and with external systems
- Understanding of virtual environments to include use of vmWare
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to train and manage operations of junior personnel
- Experience with Open-Source tools like: SALT, Puppet, etc. (desired)
- Ability to discern values and evaluate open-source tools and software in comparison with COTS products (desired)
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Be able to work, communicate, and resolve issues with a wide variety of developers of varying experience levels. Work, communicate, and troubleshoot with system administrators concerning environment, infrastructure, architecture, and application issues.
- Linux experience - be able to navigate a Windows environment, write/edit Shell Scripts, understand network configurations (along with the various security schemes), IP Addressing, hosts files, file systems, etc.
- Integration experience - be able to create detailed instructions, work with others to clarify build and installation instructions, provide feedback, instructions, suggestions, etc.

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- Development experience - programming, compiling, installing including Agile exposure would be a plus.
- Database experience - ability to run scripts creating database objects, monitor, and recognize issues and/or violations of industry wide and Enterprise Integration Lab (EIL) specific standards (MySQL, MS SQL Server.)
