Enterprise Data Architect - Central London - Pharmaceuticals

My client is looking for a senior enterprise level data architect who has experience of working with large scale data infrastructures in global organizations on strategic initiatives. The successful Enterprise Data Architect will have the opportunity to join a highly skilled global team that is owning and driving the data strategy for this industry leading analytics company. The successful Enterprise Data Architect will take on the following responsibilities:

* Support the ongoing development of the Data Architecture Strategy.
* Promoting and supporting the establishment of best practice in data architecture.
* Definition and instigation of enterprise-wide data-driven solutions e.g. Master Data Management; Meta Data Management; Reference Data Management
* Governance of projects & programmes against the defined enterprise data architecture target design, policies and standards.
* Development of corporate and subject oriented data models to facilitate delivery of data for whatever purpose to the business.
* Manage the target design, policies and standards, working proactively to maintain a stable, viable data architecture and ensure consistency of data across the programme
* Developing and maintaining enterprise data standards and roadmaps
* Be a specialist in information & data architecture globally across the organisation
* Support the development and delivery of solutions for the organisations internal customers.

The successful Enterprise Data Architect will have the following experience & capabilities:

* Have extensive experience as a data architect and use of architecture methods, tools and intellectual capital in order to hold credibility with projects.
* Extensive experience in enterprise architecture delivering reference architectures, roadmaps and architectural techniques
* Excellent stakeholder management skills
* Developing Information/Data Strategy/Frameworks
* Conceptual, Logical and physical data modelling Data modelling, data lineage/data flow mapping and data quality.
* At least one database technology, e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, Natezza.
* Data Warehouse architecture and technology awareness
* Extensive data experience across delivery and strategy disciplines
* Familiar with industry standard methods, tools and processes to support an Enterprise Architecture function.
