ROLE: ENTERPRISE DATA ARCHITECT

LOCATION: BRUSSELS, BELGIUM

- Overview of application components in the landscape serving as the system of record or reference for enterprise master data, transactional data and analytical data;
- How and where enterprise data entities are created, stored, transported, and reported;
- How data entities are utilized by business functions, processes and services;
- Data principles, standards and best practices in line with DB Policies, Standards and tools to manage the critical data of our client in Belgium;
- Method in analysing the current As-Is situation and recommending a target To-Be situation;
- Roadmap/direction to achieve this, both short and long-term.

The assignment will focus on the Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence domain, assessing the above activities in a current and future setting.

The outcome of this exercise must include the following:

- As-Is Assessment with an overview of pain points or sensitivity points, risks and non-risks
- To-Be Recommendation for target Information/Data architecture with high-level roadmap with short-term and long-term initiatives and/or opportunities

The As-Is and To-Be assessment may include the following in supporting the analysis:

- Catalogs
- Data Entity/Data Component catalog
- Matrices
- Data Entity/Business Function Matrix
- Application/Data Matrix
- Diagrams
- Conceptual Data diagram
- Logical Data diagram
- Data Dissemination diagram
- Data Security diagram
- Data Migration diagram
- Data Lifecycle diagram

EXPERIENCE/EXPOSURE

- Strong experience (more than 10 years) in IT delivery and data/information architectures including experience as a Data Modeler and/or DBA, application design and programming. Relevant Financial Services and Business Intelligence experience.
- Strong experience in data and business analysis and design with a cohesive vision of key business data challenges.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with competing and alternating priorities with a constant focus on delivery
- Ability to balance business demands and IT fulfillment in terms of standardization, reducing risk and increasing IT flexibility
- Ability to relate and adapt data related vision and strategy to the external environment that affects the organization in terms of economic climate, customer market demand, regulation and other legalities, geography, political, culture, labor, technology
