Enterprise Data Architect

The JDC Group is recruiting for an Enterprise Data Architect for one our premier Atlanta clients. This is a long-term contract consulting opportunity (initial 6-month with the potential to extend 12months + based on performance). Qualified candidates will possess both hard and soft skills and be truly cross-functional professionals capable of handling dynamic subjects and business functions easily and collaboratively. The Business Information Architect will be responsible for providing leadership, expertise and direction to hundreds of knowledge workers and middle managers throughout all of our business units and support functions including our corporate IT department.

It is imperative that the chosen candidate possess and demonstrate exceptional proficiency in the following areas:

o Enterprise Data Modeling
o Business analysis; requirements gathering and analysis
o Business process mapping
o Complex problem solving
o Executive and Operational meeting facilitation & presentation skills
o Organizational change management (OCM)
o Communications (written & verbal)
o Project management

Duties include:

o Facilitating cross-functional focus groups targeted at creating consensus among disparate functional teams to solve complex business problems
o Collecting and documenting business requirements for the creation and publication of conceptual data models to be used by both business and IT functions
o Documenting Enterprise Information Management processes
o Supporting strategic business initiatives in a consultative approach providing expertise on a variety of data governance related subjects including, but not limited to, data management, data quality, data security, privacy, business intelligence, standards and best practices for governing data
o Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand the value of key business data and define, develop, and document policies and business rules for data stewardship processes and systems to create and maintain data quality
o Identifying and elevating potential data risks and/or issues that may exist within the enterprise and provide guidance on potential action to take
o Actively participating in the development and implementation of our information strategy
o Interpreting business needs into data requirements, including such attributes as naming standards, consistent data definitions, data aliases, associated business rules, data sources
o Assisting in the performance of source data profiling and data quality assessments
o Performing other duties as identified over time by the changing and evolving requirements of the business as they pertain to the governance and stewardship of our data

Experience requirements
As a minimum, the following must be demonstrated through actual job experience:
o 6+ years in one or more of the following areas:
Data Governance
Enterprise Data Modeling
Business Analysis and requirements gathering
Business process design
o 5+ years leading business solutions development projects
o 5+ years leading cross-functional project teams
