2 YEAR FIXED TERM

One IT is the University's transformational change programme to improve Information Technology effectiveness, capability and capacity across the organisation. With central, faculty and service departments one of the aims of One IT is to bring together the diverse IT support functions in the organisation to provide a comprehensive and cohesive IT organisation.

Integral to this is the appointment of experienced Enterprise Architects to support the change programme across the institution.  We are recruiting to a number of positions to build a new team to provide this Enterprise Architecture expertise.

The establishment of an enterprise and solution architecture approach is new to the University of Leeds and a key part of these roles will be to act as champions in this area; successfully influencing and persuading a wide range of stakeholders of the merits of this new approach.

Experience of successful change management and implementing an enterprise architecture approach are essential to this role.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy and Architecture: At the enterprise level, you will develop IT strategy and architecture roadmaps, co-ordinate current demand for change alongside strategic delivery.IT Service Delivery: At the programme and project level, your responsibilities will be to develop solution and technical architectures to support project delivery. This will include working with colleagues to define solution architectures that meet project requirements.Strategy, Standards, Policies and Procedures: As part of developing the University's architecture framework you will develop specific guidance and standards to ensure compatibility and interoperability of systems.Customer Service and Relations:  You will set an exemplary standard in customer service and relationship management.

COMPETITIVE SALARY, AT GRADE 9 (£45,951 TO £53,233) WITH FLEXIBILITY TO APPOINT UP TO £58,156 PLUS market rate adjustment

In addition to the basic salary, the role will be considered for a recruitment and retention premium.  The supplement is part of our commitment to recruiting and retaining quality staff and aims to bring the total salary in line with the current market rates being paid outside the University. The premium will be reviewed annually to take account of any subsequent pay increases and/or changes in the relevantlabour market.
