Enterprise Architect - Immediate Start - 12 Month Contract

A fantastic opportunity has become available for experienced Enterprise Architects within a Government Department for a long-term contract role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop and deliver a data architecture framework for a metadata management capability encompassing a metadata repository that will include taxonomies and other technical assets;
- Develop and deliver a metadata standard for the client including the identification and delivery of relevant sub-sets for specific information domains;
- Lead discussions, workshops and project meetings with business stakeholders and project team members in the analysis of requirements for a metadata repository and standard;
- Provide direction on interpretation of business requirements and systems/technical documentation for the client's managed metadata environment and repository; and
- Work as an effective team member or team leader; share/transfer knowledge and information with the team and help others meet team priorities.

SKILLS:

- Large Datawarehouse literacy experience;
- Experience with both Relational and Dimensional Data Models - approaches and advantages;
- Knowledge of taxonomy principles and practices;
- Knowledge of managed metadata environments and metadata principles;
- Experience in open source systems design and integration;
- Well developed business process modelling and business analysis skills; and
- SQL knowledge (Teradata preferred).
