Enterprise Architect

An exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Architect is available in Brussels, major center for international politics and home of numerous international organizations, politicians, diplomats and civil servants.

This position is offered as a long term, freelance contract for a period up to 4 years.

DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS:

- Architecture and design of new information systems
- Review of the architecture of existing systems
- Design of component architecture and building blocks
- Assistance with the implementation of the architecture
- Analysis of the integration of different information systems
- Technical interface between the project leaders and the analysts
- Architectural vision and elaboration
- Development and enhancement of architecture
- Assistance with the implementation of the architecture
- Architecture maturity assessment
- Analysis of organizational structures
- Analysis of information systems portfolio
- Analysis of enterprise business processes
- Corporate Data flow analysis
- IS costs/benefits analysis

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING PROFILE:

- Minimum 4 years of relevant studies
- Minimum 9 years of experience after finishing the studies
- Minimum 3 years of IT professional experience
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture
- Experience in enterprise architecture models and tools (Enterprise Architect, Rational Software Architect)
- Knowledge of interoperability technologies (eg web services, message oriented middle-ware, service oriented bus)
- Experience with technologies involved: Java, JEE, JSP, XML/XSL/XSLT, UML and RDBMS (Oracle). Good understanding of these technologies is a must.
- Knowledge of software design processes and modelling tools (UML)
- Technical writing and production of software architecture documents
- Ability to give technical presentations
- Good knowledge of business processes analysis
- Knowledge of software maturity models
- Strong capacity in realization, writing and presenting studies
- Proven experience with quality procedures
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, excellent communicator
- Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment
- Experience with document management domain will be considered as an asset
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of a French would be an advantage
