BASED IN LONDON
CONTRACT WILL RUN TO MARCH 2014 WITH SCOPE FOR EXTENSION

Due to the nature of this role you will be required to hold or be eligible for SC Security Clearance

Enterprise Architect required to join a key Central Government client, the role is external facing with key responsibilities and exposure to succeed.

You will have demonstrable experience working as an Enterprise Architect working on projects and other change initiatives that solved real business problems

Main Duties/Responsibilities
1. Business Domain Support. Working with colleagues across ICT to identify and elaborate business requirements for new change initiatives & projects to develop the overall business and IS architecture for the domain and plans for the realisation of this architecture through programmes and projects.
2. Architecture Content Development. Working on specific initiatives to develop architecture content for a range of stakeholders. Content will include business, information systems and technology architectures.
3. Change Planning. Undertake exercises to determine how aspects of the current ICT estate can be migrated in support of strategic and architecture goals.
4. Architecture Change Management. Oversee the maintenance of one or more aspects of the Enterprise Architecture.
5. Communications. Undertake specific communications exercises for groups of stakeholders.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

ESSENTIAL
1. At least 2 years working as an Enterprise Architect for a government department, agency, local authority or commercial organisation and Criminal Justice Sector
2. TOGAF 8 or 9 certified
3 Credible experience of delivery of one or more architecture change initiatives
4. Working with staff at all levels, from peer to CIO and CEO
5. Excellent communications, written and verbal.
6 Ability to plan, structure and deliver work according to common industry standards
7. Be able to work across multiple teams on a variety of concurrent initiatives.
8. Be able to plan and manage ones own time to ensure customers expectations are met.
9. Be aware of industry trends
10. Specialism in either Business, Information Systems or Technology Architectures.
11. Experience with architecture governanance arrangements.
12. Good understanding and experience of using Archimate.

DESIRABLE
1. Communications - be able to present complex issues to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
2. At least 2 years working within the Criminal Justice Sector in a business-enabled IT change function.
3. Good understanding of technology & delivery trends and issues within the Criminal Justice Sector
4. Experience of change delivery, in particular using Agile
5. Experience of working with EA toolsets.

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

ESSENTIAL - Togaf 8 or 9 Certification.
