This prestigious school located in Moseley, Birmingham are looking for a top English Graduate to support Class Teachers within their English Department as a Teaching Assistant. The position is to start immediately, although the school will not be hasty in their decision and consider all their options. You will be working on a full time, long term basis until the end of the academic year in August 2013.

The school can be found surrounded by many means of public transport including bus stops, a taxi rank and is also a short walk away from a train station. However should you drive, an onsite car parking space will be offered to you.

In your role as a Teaching Assistant, you will be focussing on supporting students as they prepare for GCSE's and ensuring that they attain minimum standards in end of year exams. As the successful Teaching Assistant you be working on a 1:1 basis and with small & large groups of pupils within the English Department across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5, who require extra support to attain accepted levels. The English Department achieved 86% A*-C at GCSE last year and has improved year in year out. You will be supported in every aspect of your role, and as a Teaching Assistant you will be introduced to a training program in which Graduates are apart of, supporting you in your role.

The school's last Ofsted report in 2012 graded them as 'Good with outstanding features'' and highlighted the overall effectiveness of the school. The Headteacher has a clear vision and ambition for the school to keep developing and establishing itself as a centre of excellence.
