English Teacher

Simply Education are looking to recruit a quality and creative English teacher to join a challenging but friendly city based school. This position is to cover a maternity starting ASAP and covering 3 days a week through to the end of the academic year.

This is a part time position within the English department and working closely with the exceptional head of department, you will also need to plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4. Focus on the development of creative learning experiences.

The ideal candidate will be able to engage with students through different teaching strategies, use ICT effectively and have a passion to increase attainment levels for all pupils.
To be successful you will need to have a proven track record of raising standards, excellent behaviour management skills, be reliable and have a passion for teaching, and be will be able to demonstrate a number of the following;

-Qualified Teacher Status -Strong classroom management skills -The ability to motivate pupils and achieve excellent results
-Excellent organisational skills
-The capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team
-An enthusiasm for English and the ability to share this with young people
