JOB TITLE: English Teacher

JOB SUMMARY:
Mana Education is working with a good school in south Lincolnshire to help them find an English Trained Teacher to cover a long term position. The role is from October 2013 until December 2013. The School are ideally looking for someone with English Teaching experience.

We are looking for a talented and dynamic Teacher of English who is able to inspire students, be innovative and achieve outstanding results, to join a highly collaborative, motivated, well-resourced department. Students at the school enjoy the subject and respond very positively to quality teaching. The ability to teach KS4 English is essential.

THE SCHOOL:
The school is a popular, oversubscribed 11 -16 College in a rural market town South of Lincolnshire. There has been a significant improvement in GCSE progress, with 48% of students now gaining at least 5 GCSE A* - C grades (inc. E & M), and 93% achieving 5A*-C.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING RELEVANT TO THE JOB
*Good understanding of current best practice in teaching and learning.
*Thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum
*Excellent subject knowledge
