Looking for an opportunity to showcase your English teaching skills? If you are confident in your ability to engage learners across key stage 3 and 4 this maternity post could be ideal.

Located in a more rural area of Bolton, my Client School has a strong reputation in the borough for achieving excellent results and maintaining a friendly, welcoming environment where students and teachers can excel. Due to the earlier than expected leave of a current member of the department, an English teacher with a passion for their subject is needed to cover maternity until the end of academic year at least.

In 2012 the School made great strides in their examination results, with 77% of students achieving 5 A*-C grades. After changes in the senior leadership the School has improved measurably and core subject attainment is higher than ever, with exam results being notably higher than the national average in English and Maths.

Despite its location the School has direct transport links for candidates using public transport, there is parking available on site for all teaching staff. After last years increased pupil intake, the School has over 1200 pupils on roll from 11-18 making it slightly larger than average. The number of students eligible for free School meals and those who come from minority ethnic backgrounds are substantially lower than the national average.
