My client is looking for an English Graduate with a 1st Class or 2.1 Degree, to join their high archiving English Department as a Teaching Assistant. This Teaching Assistant role is full time and long term, starting immediately and running until he end of the academic year in August 2013. This is an excellent chance to gain fantastic experience prior to starting your teacher training.

In your role as the successful Teaching Assistant, you will be working along side a highly motivated and dedicated English Department of which consists of 8 qualified teachers, 1 NQT and is lead fantastically by the Head of Department.

You will be required to work as a Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, ultimately helping them to achieve to the best of their ability and reaching their full potential. As the successful Teaching Assistant, you will also need to help pupils discover a deeper joy and attentiveness for English. You will solely be supporting pupils within the English Department across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5.

During last years Ofsted inspection my client was deemed as 'Outstanding' for its overall effectiveness. The Headteacher and Senior Management Team were noted for leading the school immensely well and giving guidance and support to all their pupils. The English Department was also deemed as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted with last years GCSE exam results showing that 87% of pupil's archived A*-C grades.

The school have employed Graduates for several years now as Teaching Assistants and will give you all the necessary guidance and support to ensure you gain the right experience for future PGCE application and teacher training… A great chance to learn from the best!!!

My client can be found in a desirable part of North Birmingham and is located on a large site and excellent facilities. The school is located near several means of public transport such as bus stops and a train station, of which runs regularly. However, should you drive onsite car parking will be allocated.
