ENGINEERING TECHNICIANS needed for a SIX (6) MONTHS CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client Varian/Applied Materials located in Gloucester, MA. ONE POSITION IS 2ND SHIFT (3-11:30PM) AND ONE SHIFT IS 4TH SHIFT (FRI, SAT, SUN OR SAT, SUN, MON 7AM TO 7PM).

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital, and logic systems.
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to Remedy malfunctions.
- Assists in the design, construction and test of equipment.
- Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
- You will perform machine testing on R & D, plasma doping and Beamline tools, that are transitioning from development to production. Take direction from management staff (Physicists and Engineers), and be able to provide independent expertise to accomplish tasks as necessary.
- Tasks will include HV electrical, High Vacuum and mechanical troubleshooting and tool rebuilds as well as calibrations, particle, metals testing and demonstrations.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Associates Degree preferred. Minimum high school diploma and 7-10 years technician training/experience in a high technology area.
- Minimum of 2-3 years semiconductor experience, VCS training on other VIISta tools a plus.
- Some understanding of electrical circuitry is required.
- Knowledge of high and medium current implanters, including RF plasma systems and must have the ability to communicate and interact with Engineers and gather, maintain and interpret data accurately
- Some travel (15%) will be required.
