Engineering Technician/Technical Writer Job

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN/TECHNICAL WRITER needed for a SIX (6) MONTH CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Gloucester, MA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Work with minimal supervision.
- Generate detailed, well-illustrated maintenance procedures for electro-mechanical, wafer-fabrication or power equipment, based on schematics, assembly drawings, photographs and/or models.
- Coordinates with engineers and other technical personnel to acquire and/or verify information.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of technical documentation.
- Review documents prepared by other technical writers for content and clarity.
- Use computer skills and technical knowledge to research and generate/update customer manuals, Product Support Bulletins, Engineering Change Orders, and user feedback.
- Understand and synthesize technical concepts into clear, concise, and easily understood procedures that reflect the best known method for performing a specific task.
- Develop clear, accurate, and appropriately-illustrated procedures
- Meet deadlines.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Two (2+) years' experience as a product support, field engineer, manufacturing engineer, or technical instructor.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and schematics.
- BA/BS Degree preferred
- Graphics skills preferred
- Experience with Adobe Framemaker preferred
