Engineering Technician Job

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity to join Yoh's client in GLOUCESTER, MA.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

- Supports of engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital, and logic systems.
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
- Assists in determining methods or actions to Remedy malfunctions.
- Assists in the design, construction and test of equipment.
- Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
- You will perform machine testing on R & D, plasma doping and Beamline tools, that are transitioning from development to production.
- Take direction from management staff (Physicists and Engineers), and be able to provide independent expertise to accomplish tasks as necessary
- Additionally, tasks will include HV electrical, High Vacuum and mechanical troubleshooting and tool rebuilds as well as calibrations, particle, metals testing and demonstrations

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Associates Degree preferred.
- Minimum high school diploma and seven to ten (7-10) years technician training/experience in a high technology area.
- Minimum of two to three (2-3) years semiconductor experience, VCS training on other VIISta tools a plus.
- Some understanding of electrical circuitry is required.
- Must have Trident experience, or Beam tuning exposure.
