Engineering Technician Job

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Allentown, PA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Technical Associates degree.
- Excel and Document management systems experience.
- Work with data.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection and cataloguing of mechanical equipment and piping information.
- Developing required information categories through interface with engineering, maintenance, and operating staffs to anticipate future stakeholder needs.
- Collecting and cataloguing information required to complete category inventory through document and database review or individual interface with key data providers/engineers.
- Building and maintaining information and reference document systems.
- Travel to domestic operating plant site is required. The amount of travel is anticipated to be 10-20%.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Associates Degree in a technical/scientific field or military experience in a technical/mechanical role.
- Mechanical aptitude and inclination.
- Good computer skill especially in the use of Excel and document management systems.
- An interest in collecting information and in the development of systems to be used to access historical information.
- Ability to see relationships in information and data and how it fits to expand our knowledge base.
- Experience in interacting with a wide range of industry professionals including engineers, operators, maintenance technicians, and IT specialists.
- Good communication skills are required.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in field inspection, maintenance, operation, or construction in an industrial capacity is desired.
