Engineering Technician

*ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN NEEDED*

Work for the leading Industrial Automation Company! Position will work 2ND SHIFT (1:30PM TO 10PM), but initial training period will likely involve 1-2 months working first shift.

OVERVIEW

- Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video circuits, and logic systems.
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
- Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
- Assists in determining methods or actions to Remedy malfunctions.
- Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Typically requires minimum 3-5 years of experience
- Experience with development and testing of drives or solid state power switching at 480 and 690v with currents of 500Amps or greater desired
- Familiarity with EMC testing desirable
- Needs to be able to write test reports
- Associates degree desired
