Engineering Technician

Our client is a leading industrial automation manufacturing company seeking an Engineering Tech for a premium contract opportunity. With minimal supervisory guidance, this position, in accordance with sound and acceptable engineering principles, develops Automated Optical Inspection programs and support for manufacturing of electronic industrial control products. Technician repairs or schedules repairs to equipment, and provides technical leadership and training for surface mount operators as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Functional

- Performs maintenance and repairs on circuit board manufacturing equipment
- Assists with production and scheduling requirements as needed to support operators
- Independently provides technical leadership in the diagnosis and correction of manufacturing issues
- Assists manufacturing engineering functions with technical support
- Supports continuous improvement efforts
- Establishes and documents process parameters for new and existing equipment
- Establishes and documents work instructions for new and existing equipment

Leadership

- Capable of fully training machine operators on all aspects of job requirements
- Influences coworkers toward positive change and continuous improvement initiatives
- Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Regulations (State/Federal Laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.) as well as client policies and procedures

Interpersonal

- Gets along well with others, possesses the ability to understand and accept feedback from coworkers with honesty and sensitivity
- Contributes and fosters a positive team spirit by offering assistance and support to co-workers with tact and consideration
- Provides accurate and precise communication to appropriate personnel across all shifts to insure department synergy
- Leverages inter-company resources to insure timely resolution of process and equipment problems

Other

- May occasionally need to change work schedule to accommodate business needs
- Must be capable of lifting 55 pound loads several times daily
- Must be capable of operating various equipment

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- Preferred experience with programming the MVP Ultra IV platform of Automated Optical Inspection equipment
- Minimum of 3 years of machine/tool repair experience.
- Associates degree in technical field preferred
