Engineering Tech-Pittsburg

The Engineering Technician will serve as an integral member of the Strategic Planning team and will work closely with both the Strategic Planning team and Reservoir Engineering group with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities:
* Will support evaluations for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and due diligence.
* Coordinates data retrieval, collecting, loading, manipulation, and management for use by group and other teams/departments as required.
* Build MS Access queries and Excel Spreadsheets for data gathering, analysis, and graphing which will include advanced spreadsheet applications (data filters, pivot tables, external data linking, etc.)
* Build and maintain Aries databases, summaries, and consolidation reports.
* Extract and analyze third party well data, including state regulatory and production information.

This position requires an Associate's degree with a Bachelor's degree preferred and a major in Mathematics, Computer Science or other related technical discipline. At least 1 or more years of experience working in an oil and gas company are preferred along with the following:

* Possess an extreme attention to detail.
* Must have strong interest in information and database management.
* Strong working knowledge of Aries, OFM, IHS/DrillingInfo preferred.
* Effective interpersonal skills to work within multi-disciplinary team to achieve project related goals.
* Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Access.
* Ability to accurately solve problems and have exceptional proficiency in data management.
* Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
* Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
