Outsource UK Ltd is actively seeking to recruit for a contract Project Engineer/Team Lead on behalf of a client.

WORKING WITH OUR ENGINEERING/DEFENCE CLIENT, IN THE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TEAM WORKING ON A NUMBER OF AVIONICS/FLIGHT/OPTICAL SYSTEMS

The Job:
You will lead a team of 4-6 mechanical engineers and will be responsible for the planning and delivery of projects, throughout the full life cycle. You will co-ordinate resource and be the interface with the client project manager. You will have strong design and development skills, and will be looking for the first step into project management. You will have a proven background in mechanical engineering, and have achieved/be close to achieving Chartered Engineer status.

Key Skills
BEng/MEng in a Mechanical Engineering-related discipline
Mechanical Engineering experience and competence
Design, Development and Production life cycle experience
ProENGINEER or similar CAD package skills
Work Package Management
People Management
Cost and Schedule Management

Desirable skills:
Practitioner roles in Safety Critical environments
Background in Helmet Mounted Displays, Head-Up Displays or Flight Controls
Chartered Engineer

This is a 6 month contract and the client will also look at permanent candidates. This role is commutavle from Gillingham, M2, Maidstone, Canterbury and M26.
