Engineering Support Systems Administrator

Our RTP technology leader has an immediate 6+ month contract for a 3rd shift (11:00pm to 8:00am Sunday through Thursday) UNIX Systems Administrator to support their UNIX systems. You will work as part of a highly technical team of professionals who support the day-to-day management and operations. To be successful you will need a strong technical orientation; be a creative problem solver; be motivated to advance in the field; and work well in a team-oriented environment. You will have the opportunity in this entry-level position to build your technical and team participation skills while contributing positively to department goals and objectives. You will be working on the UNIX Administration team providing 24x7 operational support for UNIX-based Servers in the corporate datacenters, including general administration and management.

Required Skills:

- MUST HAVE - NAS & SAN STORAGE experience.
- Linux/UNIX experience.
- Solaris.
- AIX or HPUX a plus.

You may be requested to travel (less than 5%). Work in a large computer lab environment consisting on 2, 200 racks of equipment. Work will include hands on troubleshooting and may include some manual labor such a racking equipment, cabling, and bench testing of equipment.
