This is an opening with a team responsible for all technology, processes, experiences and infrastructure that enable the client to quickly deliver product updates to customers, from individual consumers to the world's largest enterprises, and everyone in-between. We operate in a fast paced, multi-site, innovative and agile environment; and manage key partnerships with organizations across the company.

THE ENGINEERING SERVICE ENGINEER WILL:

- Work with build engineers to manage daily operations of the build datacenter that produces software updates.
- Investigate, analyze and diagnose issues and trends; develop plans and recommendations for improvements.
- Analyze application and system metrics and provide guidance and leadership to drive change and remediation strategies.
- Drive process improvements within the team and product group.
- Define metrics and analyze existing and future system and/or service performance.
- Develop strategies for, design, and architect technical services, including end-to-end systems, networks, and platforms.
- Apply appropriate standards, principles, guidelines, patterns and artifacts of architecture, which result in standard and quality systems.
- Drive Security and Compliance analysis and requirements.
- Own all communications and announcements related to the build datacenter operations.
- Ensure high availability for build datacenter.
- Responsible for coordinating and executing production change activities at the hardware, platform, and application level.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Demonstrated experience in Infrastructure Support, Hardware/OS, Networking and Lab Management
- Experienced in designing, collecting, analysing and leveraging metrics to drive service improvement
- Basic understanding of Windows development, build processes, and source code control
- Working knowledge of Scripting languages (Perl, Jscript, Batch) and experience with Windows installation and servicing technologies (CBS, MSU, WU/MU, MSI) a plus
- Ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast paced and changing environment
- Ability to manage and deliver multiple project phases at the same time
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Highly organized, with a proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Critical thinking and solid problem solving skills
- Detail oriented and quality driven
- Effective communications, collaborations, and negotiation skills cross-discipline, cross-team, and cross-continent
- Strong technical skills and drive to learn
