Engineering Research Technician

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an ENGINEERING RESEARCH TECHNICIAN to join our client in Allentown, PA.

DURATION: Approximately 5 to 6 months.

PAY RANGE: Up to $ 28.25 per hour.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Construction and modification of furnace and process-related gas equipment, including prototype development, fabrication, operation and troubleshooting.
- In addition, the candidate will be responsible for setting up and assisting with lab and field trials as well as mechanical and metallographic testing.
- Other responsibilities involve maintenance of various lab equipment, including furnaces, flow controls, gas and cryogenic supply systems and analytical tools.
- Some travel in support of customer tests will be required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two to five (2 - 5) years of work experience in an R a technical degree (Associates or Bachelors) is desirable.
- Candidate must possess strong prototyping and fabrication skills, with high degree of hands-on practical experience.
- Prior experience in metals heat treating and/or metallographic analysis is also desirable.
- Candidate must have a good record in safety and be capable of working with multiple projects.
- Computer skills including MS Office, Excel and data acquisition basics are required.
