Role Summary/Purpose:
The Engineering Project Planner/Analyst role will support the Integrated Product Development Team in project planning and analysis on engineering programs. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating project planning activities, monitor, and control of project baselines, and earned value analysis, and reporting.

Essential Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedule
Provide schedule analysis and generate milestone reports
Manage the processes related to project management systems (ie, Earned Value Analysis & Reporting, Risk Management, Action Items, etc.)
Lead the Engineering Project Team in project schedule development and activity based management (ABM)
Work with the team to define the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and the WBS Dictionary
Trace work scope to project requirements
Develop cost and schedule analysis and communicate results to program management
Prepare Cost Performance Reports (CPR) and assist with understanding actual variance to plan
Comply with necessary regulations in the reporting process using knowledge of applicable statutory and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) reporting requirements
Lead presentation of the integrated project schedule to the project team, division management, and customers during Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR's)
Work directly with customers to integrate customer/supplier plans and schedules
Conduct and/or manage special ad-hoc studies and analysis as required by Engineering Management
Mentor the Engineering Project Teams on cost schedule metrics and earned value data

Qualifications/Requirements:
Significant experience in engineering program planning, implementation, analysis, contract interpretation, budget development, critical path planning, and administration of engineering projects

Desired Characteristics:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Finance
Strong financial background and interpersonal skills
Advanced computer skills including database, spreadsheet, Word, and Microsoft Project
Experience with Earned Value Systems such as Welcom, Artemis, or Primavera
Knowledge of Earned Value concepts
Experience with formal project analysis tools such as Project Analyzer or Milestones Professional
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
