Engineering Manager - Southampton - £55k

I am currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager to work for a growing organisation based in Southampton. Salary circa £55,000. The organisation has been running for over 15 years and has become a major player in their field - recognised for their excellence. They have doubled their turnover year on year for the last 5 years. They also have a 75% conversion rate from quotation to design. My client design large industrial machines that sit on vessels and are used for laying power and telecoms cables subsea. As a result they are seeking someone who ideally has experience in the Marine industry. This role is for someone to manage the design department of 4 individuals. You will be involved in: - Writing specifications for design - Undertaking design reviews ensuring they meet the ISO standards - Documentation - Dealing with client requests and complaints regarding designs. The ideal candidate should have experience in: - Taking designs from concept through to manufacture - Managing teams of design engineers - Marine - ideally Vessel design (understanding rules for Vessels) The following would also be beneficial: - Cable installation experience would be extremely good.
