Engineering Manager - Sheffield

Managing a remote design & build team, the Engineering Manager should come from either a Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background and have experience of managing Engineering and Project Teams within a heavy engineering / parallel industry environment.

Managing multi-million pound budgets, the Engineering Manager should be able to manage multiple projects at anyone time and have previous experience of working and managing projects in a challenging 24x7 operation and the Engineering Manager should be a self starter and motivated individual who is challenge and results driven.

Ultimately, with this client being a 24x7 production operation and downtime / stoppages affecting profitability, the Engineering Manager should have extensive experience of problem solving, bringing production lines back on line with minimal downtime and being able to deal with any problems on a rapid reaction basis.

From an Engineering perspective, people with the following experience would be of interest:
- Bulk / Materials Handling
- Heavy Engineering
- Rolling Mills
- Smelting / Foundry / Furnace / High Temperature Metal

Handling
- Heavy Machinery
- Transferable experience [Gears / Drives / Hydraulics / Pneumatics)

The Engineering Manager will also have the 9 direct reports and additional direct / indirect reports on a project by project basis".
