Engineering Manager - Power Station

The ideal candidate for this role should have experience in power plants and process plant equipment. This company is not seeking a candidate who has experience in direct biomass power plants as the technology is so new. The transferable skills are what they are looking for. Ideally a candidate will come from a large process plant equipment background with utilities or gas experience.

Experience from the power, oil or chemical sector on large process plant is favourable. A past experience in delivering maintenance and engineering projects in process plant is also preferred. The ideal candidate should be minimum degree qualified and potentially working towards a chartership - if not already achieved.

A passion for quality, safety and environmental management is also essential to develop the culture of this power station as it goes through a significant transitional period.

This role is seen as a senior management role for the plant, and the ideal candidate should be able to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally. A commercial ability is also essential as the suitable candidate will be expected to negotiate and have a wide understanding of the global energy business
