Engineering Manager - Instrumentation Job

MANAGER, INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEERING MEDICAL DEVICES -needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in St Louis, Missouri.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- S.ME with 5 + years of Engineering Management experience, or

BSME in combination with MBA and 5+ years of Engineering Management

- Technical knowledge of Medical Device Instruments

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Support the development of product revisions, quality refinement, design updates and manufacturing process improvements by organizing, assigning responsibilities, elaborating staffing plan and coordinating group activities by influencing key technical or business decisions
- Is accountable for management and development of people, mentors key individuals, ensuring the integrity of the performance management process and individual development/training plans; also recommends salary evolutions.
- Acts as an arbitrator between conflicting objectives by implementing priorities and moderates the interactions between team members and with the rest of the departments and with project and/or program management,
- Coordinates initiatives involving other departments and assures effective communication with the Production Team, Supply Chain, Purchasing and R&D to coordinate and address day to day issues as well as look forward to avoid and stop potential problems.
- Contributes to or lead the creation or modification of procedures in accordance to department needs.
- Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing department rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
- Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- M.S.ME with 5 + years of Engineering Management experience, or

BSME in combination with MBA and 5+ years of Engineering Management experience

- Technical knowledge of Medical Device Instruments
- Developed Skills in the relevant engineering disciplines
- Understanding of the Large FDA regulated organization Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, operations and management processes
- Understanding of product and process development cycle
- Knowledge of FDA, QSR and ISO quality systems
- Working knowledge of project management from structured planning through execution and delivery
