Engineering Lab Technician

Our client is the leading computer components brand seeking a Lab Tech with at least four years industry experience as a validation/testing/benchmarking or engineering technician, including responsibilities of supporting and setting up lab systems and infrastructure.

TASKS TO INCLUDE

- Throughput Computing Architecture
- Maintaining Netbatch systems
- Building Linux/FreeBSD systems
- Maintaining and auditing Lab Inventory
- Creating and troubleshooting CAT6 patch cords
- Providing test/execution support of benchmarking, performance and power evaluation test suites
- Maintain Lab systems, upgrading hardware, troubleshooting hardware and software issues

QUALIFICATIONS

- At least 4 years' experience as validation/testing/benchmarking or engineering technician in fast and dynamic environment
- AA/AS or Technical degree
- Extensive hands-on experience/knowledge for building custom PC systems from components, and installing OS (SUSE, FREEBSD)
- Software troubleshooting skills
- Programming/Scripting experience (Perl, VB, C, etc.)
- Proficiency in Linux/UNIX
- CUDA programming
- National Instruments LabVIEW experience
- Ability to adapt to daily changes in priorities and requests
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and a team-player
- Must be capable of reporting out project status on a daily basis to a team
- Should be able to take direction from members of a team for daily work
