Engineering Lab Support Technician

Yoh has a 12-18 month contract opportunity for an ENGINEERING LAB SUPPORT TECHNICIAN to join our client in Tacoma, WA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Engineering Lab Technician will be responsible for performing HARDWARE TESTING in a rapid and effective manner.
- Engineering Lab Technician will be responsible for DEBUGGING HARDWARE as issues arise.
- Engineering Lab Technician will MEASURE, COLLECT AND RECORD OPERATING AND TEST RESULT DATA.
- Engineering Lab Technician will be responsible for TROUBLESHOOTING AND DEBUGGING SYSTEM problems and on-going MAINTENANCE OF THE SYSTEMS, EQUIPMENT DAILY MAINTENANCE, MONITORING OPERATIONS AND OVERALL AREA SUPPORT.
- Other duties include, sustaining operations (inserting and removing CPU's), PERFORM SOLDERING, and maintain general cleanliness and wire management within the working environment.

Job Qualifications:

- Five plus (5+) years experience in a COMPUTER SYSTEMS LAB conducting system building, testing and debugging.
- Three plus (3+) years experience REWORKING AND SOLDERING.
- Able to operate test equipment including MULTI METERS, DVM, ANALYZERS and assorted hand tools.
- A two (2) year technical degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Knowledgeable of standard POWER CONVERTER TOPOLOGIES AND CONTROL THEORY REQUIRED. Familiar with state of the art power electronic components required.
- SOLDER AND ASSEMBLY ability to remove and replace FINE PITCH ELECTRONIC SMD COMPONENTS and build simple breadboards required.
- Experience in TESTING AND TROUBLESHOOTING ANALOG ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS to the component level required.
- Experience in testing and troubleshooting VOLTAGE REGULATORS AND COMPUTER MOTHERBOARDS REQUIRED.
